Take a private flight to the 68,000-acre Ongava Game Reserve. After settling into your camp accommodations, go on an afternoon game drive to see a wide variety of game, including lions, black and white rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and the rare black-faced impala. DAY 9 SOSSUSVLEI | ABOVE A HAUNTED LANDSCAPE
This morning, you will fly by private charter to Sossusvlei, admiring the ever-changing desert landscapes of the Namib Desert along the way. You will enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the dune sea, a landscape scattered with abandoned mining camps, shipwrecks, and salt pans. After a refueling stop, you will continue your journey, flying over the ‘Eduard Bohlen,’ a German cargo ship that ran aground in 1909 on its way to Table Bay. Over the years, the desert began to engulf the ocean, and the stranded freighter became trapped in the desert, a well-known landmark on Namibia’s Skeleton Coast. Upon arrival, you will travel overland to your luxurious campsite, which includes ten spacious tents. The camp is nestled on the southern edge of the Namib Desert, in a private reserve surrounded by stunning panoramic landscapes, offering the perfect wilderness retreat.
